It is associated with a legend about the love of the German prince Konstantin of Oldenburg, who built this palace for his beloved, Georgian princess Agrafina. Because of this story, it is also called the "one-night palace." Today, the State Museum of Theatre, Music, Cinema and Choreography is housed there. The building’s most remarkable feature is its spherical dome, which measures 76 meters in diameter and was considered one of the largest in Europe at the time of construction.
