Fish market in Batumi
The fish market is a place where Batumi welcomes guests with a real Black Sea catch. The market has been open since early morning — the stalls are full of fresh mullet, mulberry, horse mackerel and even small sharks. Sellers with a distinctive accent will immediately clean and butcher any fish. Do not pass by the street kitchens: hot fish pies, rich fish soup and khachapuri with coho are what you should come for. Prices are pleasant, bargaining is appropriate. Tourists take fish with them on the road (packed with ice), and locals buy it for lunch. Add here adjika, fresh herbs and a view of the mountains — you will get an ideal breakfast by the sea.
