Description
The oldest and largest zoo in Georgia, founded back in 1927, is located in the heart of Tbilisi, in the picturesque gorge of the Vera River. This place with almost a century of history has gone through many trials, including the devastating flood of 2015, but has managed to recover and continues to delight visitors. Today, there are more than 200 species of animals from all over the world. Majestic Asian elephants, graceful giraffes, regal white lions and tigers, funny monkeys and many other amazing creatures are waiting for you. There is also an exotarium on site, which is home to reptiles, amphibians and fish. There is a contact area and special playgrounds for children.
