Description
Makhuntseti Waterfall is a picturesque landmark in mountainous Adjara, just 30 km from Batumi. Its powerful jets fall from a height of about 30 meters, surrounded by dense greenery and rocks — a truly fabulous sight! It's easy to take spectacular photos at the waterfall, and on a hot day you can refresh yourself: some tourists decide to swim in the cool water. There are other interesting places nearby: the arched bridge of Queen Tamara (XII century), the confluence of the Chorokh and Adjaristskali rivers, the Gvara fortress. An ideal option for a day trip from Batumi.

A stunning waterfall and a 12th‑century bridge – though it gets very crowded on weekends. For adventure lovers, there are zip lines and white‑water rafting. Be sure to try Temuri’s wine and dine at the Tamar Bridge restaurant, which overlooks the water.
